Gemini Full Moon 2015

“Sometimes you don’t need a goal in life, you don’t need to know the big picture. You just need to know what you’re going to do next.”

Sophie Kinsella

The Full Moon on the 25th will be in information-seeking Gemini at 3°, while the Sun opposite is in Sagittarius. There will also be a relationship to Neptune, Saturn, Mercury, and Mars.

A Full Moon is our mirror; shedding light on past actions, thoughts, behaviours and choices. It is also a time of culmination or completion. Finally, it's a chance to balance the opposing polarities of the Moon and Sun.

The key phrase is

Worthy Choice

The Gemini-Sagittarius axis can be thought of as a mental axis, Information - Ideals. While Sagittarius reaches for the horizon, Gemini is interested in the here and now. Sagittarius sticks to a long-term quest - Gemini seeks variety of information and networks.

Saturn and Mercury are sitting beside the Sun. This lends a weightier hand to an often light-hearted Gemini energy. Gemini is led by curiosity and adores many directions and connections. Saturn here is demanding focus on the varied choices before us. We're asked to pick out the truly meaningful activities. The acts in our lives that actually lead us to something greater than simply pleasure, entertainment, or short-term results.

The way Saturn works, it's likely that you have been pushed into a limiting situation. If you have been working with your Saturn, you might have chosen the limitations yourself. Either way, you can no longer communicate your truth in the old ways. You can no longer scatter your resources, have many fingers in many pies, or ride high on lofty dreaming. It isn't even that some of your directions are not worthy, of themselves, but they may not be enriching your truer purpose.

Charles Bibbs

Saturn will also be making the first of three challenging squares to Neptune that is occurring now and into 2016. So make a note in your journals what's happening in your life around this Full Moon. You'll revisit the energy of this square two more times, in June and September next year.

The Moon will be in relationship to Mars in Libra. So we'll be emotionally disposed to want to work co-operatively with others. We can tap into our powers for balance and moderation, and fair consideration. The people around us will act as a compass for our clarity.

“If the world were merely seductive, that would be easy. If it were merely challenging, that would be no problem. But I arise in the morning torn between a desire to improve the world and a desire to enjoy the world. This makes it hard to plan the day.”

E.B. White

Neptune represents; universal love, illusion, romantic perspective, addiction, fantasy, compassion, no boundaries, confusion, going with the flow, and imagination. The challenge here can manifest in two ways.

Neptune's influence with Saturn could be to dissolve or begin to dissolve the structures that you have built. Perhaps to undermine your false sense of authority or control. If you have been heading the wrong way, Neptune will expose weaknesses in your goals. It can be a time where you question so much, or simply feel confused and untethered.

On the other hand, previous Saturnian work can make this aspect less challenging and more beneficial. It can mean that your wishes align with the structures you've recently put in place. It can mean solidifying artistic, romantic, or spiritual aspirations. It still requires work on your part, but you could be better placed to see how it all fits together for a fuller and richer life forward.

With the Sun, Saturn, and Mercury in Sagittarius, the only way through is via the path of personal Truth. If you hide behind soft structures of wishful thinking, you will likely lose out. Instead, align your heart with your mind, intuition with common sense, and feelings with practical clarity.

Recognise what has worth, meaning, and truth for your unique path in life, and do so with Gemini's ability for child-like wonder. This needn't be a hard and heavy pondering at all. Saturn won't allow room for denial, that's for sure. However, we can move towards what feels right in our guts and do it with heart-fullness and a joie de vivre!

Decisions, focus, soul-alignment.... or, risk of delusion, confusion.... happen in specific areas according to your chart.

The effects of the Full Moon can be felt a week either side of the 25th. Whilst everyone is impacted by a Full Moon, it's those with personal planets in relationship to the transiting Moon who feel the most obvious impact. The eclipse occurs at 3° of Gemini. Check your chart to see if you have any planets at 29-6° of any sign, but especially in Gemini or Sagittarius.
