If you watch films for only one reason, you miss out on many wonderful treasures. Some films may lack in a truly compelling narrative, or may be insubstantial in plot, but may offer a certain aesthetic that draws us into an unusual frame of mind, perspective, or set of emotions.

  1. There are many times I watch for aesthetics over anything else. I haven't heard of this film but these shots are gorgeous.

  2. I hadn't heard of this film but I followed the link and thought it looked very interesting. I particularly loved the shot of the drab street for some reason.

  5. As I mostly live in visuals, films need to have an aesthetic edge to draw me, sometimes I like to turn the sound off, I find this both relaxing and intriguing.

These images hold a story in themselves, particularly the bottom one, you just want to be in her story!

    Thanks for sharing. x

  10. So alluring - I will order it through Netflix and find the CD. Just yesterday evening caught Stealing Beauty on HBO {am housesitting for my aunts} and had forgotten how visually beautiful it is - not to mention blessed a deeply soulful soundtrack.
