{think} allow the fire

"Do not let your fire go out, spark by irreplaceable spark in the hopeless swaps of the not-quite, the not-yet, and the not-at-all. Do not let the hero in your soul perish in lonely frustration for the life you deserved and have never been able to reach. The world you desire can be won. It exists.. it is real.. it is possible.. it's yours."
Ayn Rand, Atlas Shrugged

  8. I love that quote....
I feel as if my fire is being whipped around in the winds
there are moments when it feels there is nothing left of the flame and then in the next moment it is an inferno
    but the spark
    the spark remains
    yes
the spark remains as I do
coming home has brought me to a place of inbetween...this quote speaks to that place
    thank you

  9. OH, how I would LOVE to see the auroras!!

The ag-gag makes me so mad! They're trying to pass the bill here in NY. I've written all the senators and congressmen, hoping they will vote it down.

    Absolutely love that quote!

  11. Incredible video. Seeing the auroras is on my bucket list.

Yes, the incomparable Ayn Rand. My friends and I used to stay up all night smoking cigarettes and drinking whiskey whilst discussing objectivist epistemology. Ah, youth. ;) Have you seen the movie? http://www.atlasshruggedpart1.com/atlas-shrugged-movie-trailer

    2. I agree, we would have/could be great friends! :)

Atlas Shrugged is in my top 10 favorite books - well worth a read (as is The Fountainhead). Whether you agree with her philosophy or not, she was a brilliant writer.

  19. I love Ayn Rand. I remember reading The Fountainhead when I was a student and feeling as if someone had seen right through me, for the first time in my life. It made such sense to me. She's still one of my favourite authors.
