{Bohemian} light

The bohemian spirit gravitates towards colour and a richness of eclectic objects and furniture. But bohemianism is an essence first, that can be expressed many ways including lightly, clutter free, and with colour as pops and splashes against a pale canvas.

  2. These are such happy, pretty spaces! I tend to gravitate towards neutrals at home, but I'm trying to be a little more bold in my choice. Lovely inspiration!

  6. Where would we be without colour?
The poetic spirit adores colours especially around the house and in the form of dress and design. xx

  9. Loving:

The first space, although I think I would trip on that mirror!

How the woman in the 3rd down matches her space, lol.

The coffee table in the sixth one!

I hadn't thought of how it's usually splashes of color against a neutral background. That's like my creative space...light grey with colorful pictures and accents...hoping to do more with it. I LOVE color.

  10. This is definitely my style and how I do things decor-wise. Lots of white on the walls and then add the vibrant colours and Indian textiles, old wooden furniture, and persian rugs everywhere. I agree - the colour really pops against the white. I will probably always paint my walls white for this reason. So simple and yet so luscious.

    Love it!

  11. Gorgeous.
I may even have a go at emulating the butterfly & twig hanging this week as I endeavour to makeover the eldest child's bedroom whilst she's away at a grueling adventure camp for school. Wouldn't that be a lovely thing to have to hang over a bed to sweeten her dreams?

  16. For so long I was drawn to clean, white rooms. Perhaps it's the shift in seasons, but now all I want is extreme colour! I love all of these pictures.
