{boho} feminine boho homes

Good Monday everyone! I'm in good spirits. The sun is still shining here, I'm on the last pages of On the Road and contemplating my next read, I've barely slept (due to all-night barking-howling dog) yet feel good in my heart.

Soooo.... I felt like starting the week with some light and groovy boho-ness.

You know, other than neon green, pink is one of my least favourite colours. But when I took up painting and visual journalling, I experimented with colours and learnt to love them all. They each have their place.

Still, pink in my home is unlikely to happen. But, I can admire the atmosphere is creates from afar...

Feminine without the frills.

Have a great week friends.

  2. Nice! I agree, pink is often at the bottom of my list for decorating, but it does have a certain cheeriness, a certain glow that is complementary to most people. So I use in small doses, like fresh flowers, pillows, etc. Nice photos! Enjoy the day!

  3. Light and groovy bohoness is always a good way to start the week!

I'm with you, I'm not a fan of pink, especially in for home decor. But I really like the inspirations you have here. I don't think I would do this in the main living area, but my girls LOVE pink. And, since they're my little bohemians, I would definitely use some of these ideas for their own personal space. The 2nd and 3rd are my favorites.

  4. Lovely interiors - although very different, the second and last are my favourites. I`m not a pink person either - clothes or decor!

  5. Ha! On the same wavelength again. Did you see my pins yesterday?! Surrendering to pink I said. My dear sweet girl wants some pink in her life and I'm so not a fan (though I've started to like it more through art journaling).

    Fab interiors!

  7. Thanks for the great inspiration! and I am so glad you had a terrific start to your day. I truly hope it continued. I am not a "pink" girl either but I have come to appreciate its infectious vibe.

  13. So will we get a review for On the Road?! I just started it and his style has completely drawn me in, like we are hanging on the couch together drinking coffee and having a cigarette (if I smoked :) as he tells his story.

Pink has it's own style doesn't it, like "she" knows she's different and it would take a special person to claim her for their own. I love the first picture with the dusty rose, and the mirror--LOVE!

  14. Beautiful pictures, Monica! Interesting to know that pink is one of your least favourite colours! I thought that all women liked pink :) This is another blow to people who think in stereotypes and proves that any kind of generalization is fraught with danger.

  15. Ah, nice! I don't do pink much in my home, either, but I do enjoy seeing it in other houses. That first pic looks very familiar to me--think it's from a British mag I have.

  16. Pink is one of my least favorites, as well. It's just so....bleh to me. But you've found places where it is used appopriately and fits wonderfully. It's quite refreshing actually.

  17. I was anti-pink and girly frills for a long time. I think that was the result of growing up in a VERY pink bedroom with lots of girly frills. I have to admit, I like pink now, and I think all these rooms you've chosen use the color well.
